Supervisor

Mitchell Drilling are Australia's largest privately owned drilling contractors with an increasingly diverse range of operations. While operating mainly in Queensland and NSW, we also work in other parts of Australia and overseas.

To support our operations in the Coal Bed Methane and Inseam drilling sectors, we need to expand our supervisory team. These positions require experienced Drilling Supervisors with demonstrated technical and supervisory skills, able to ensure the provision of professional, efficient drilling services, including coordination of personnel, maintenance, purchasing, logistics and administration functions.

Experienced applicants with some or all of the following skills are preferred, however applicants with other related skills / qualifications will be considered:

• Air, mud and diamond core drilling experience.
• Experience with Down Hole Hammers, PCD bits and Rotary bits.
• Knowledge of rig mechanics, hydraulics and top head drive systems.
• The ability to plan and organise and train crews.
• Leadership and problem solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Current Well Control certification would be highly regarded but not necessary.

Ideally, the successful applicants will have a strong background in mineral and/or gas drilling operations with experience in a broad range of drilling techniques. Senior Drillers wanting to take the "next step" are encouraged to apply.
